Caramel Custard

One of the easiest of the puddings and nothing can grow wrong.

The caramelized sugar is the highlight for this pudding .The eggs is the binding factor which holds the milk with sugar.If in case one prefers it tight ,eggs can be increased in one or two numbers.


Serves : 5

Cooking Time : 35 min


Ingredients :

Eggs 4

Sugar 6-7 ( to taste )

Sugar 2 ( caramel )

Vanilla essence 1 tsp

Milk 500 ml


Method :

Caramelize sugar in a flat bottomed vessel.

Set it aside to cool.

In a mixer jar beat eggs and sugar well.

Add vanilla essence , milk and give it one pulse.

Now transfer it to the caramelized vessel.

Cover it with aluminium foil and steam for 20 – 30 min.

Let it set in a refrigerator.

Once it is cold ,release the sides with a butter knife , and topple it on a plate.

Serve cold.
