luscious Chutney !!! Must Try !!!
A very versatile chutney with goodness of carrot and a healthy option. Can never fail to amuse the taste buds and always a second helping is a must.
Serves : 3-4
Cooking time : 25 min
Ingredients :
Grind to fine paste :
Carrot 150 gms (chopped)
Onion 1 (chopped)
Tomatoes 2-3 (chopped)
Green chilly 4-5
Cumin ¾ tsp
Coriander powder 1 tsp
Coriander leaves 1 or 2 springs
Puffed gram dhal 1 tbsp
Coconut 1-2 tbsp (grated)
Salt to taste
Tamarind ½ to 1’’
Turmeric ¼ tsp
To season :
Oil 1 tbsp
Curry leaves a few
Mustard ¼ tsp
Urad dhal ¼ tsp
Red chilly 1
Method :
In a pan heat oil add mustard,as it splutters add urad dahl, curry leaves and red chilly, let it change colour.
Add the ground paste and give it a good mix.
Now close and cook till it thickens and raw smell fades.
Serve hot with dosa,idly.
