One of the famous concoctions which turns out to be the all time favourite and never fails to hold a place in the restaurant menu cards. Authentic spices are used for the delicious taste. The spices which never fails to take a seat in the pantry are only used ,hence makes it easy to cook .
Serves : 3
Cooking Time : 45 min
Ingredients :
Mutton 500 gms
Curry leaves a few
Small onions 10 ( chopped )
Turmeric ¼ tsp
Ghee 1 tsp
Oil 11/2 tbsp ( to taste )
Salt to taste
Coriander leaves to garnish
Fry in oil & grind :
Small onions 10- 15
Red chilly 3-5 ( to taste )
Cinnamon 2"
Garlic 6-7
Ginger 1"
Cumin 1 tsp
Coriander seeds 1 tbsp
Castor oil 1 tsp
Method :
In a pressure pan heat oil ,throw in onions and curry leaves ,fry till it is brown.
Add the meat & fry till meat changes colour. ( so that the pieces don’t disintegrate )
Add salt and turmeric and toss.
Time to add the ground paste and give it a quick toss.
Add water ( 1 – 2 cups ) and let it cook under pressure.( 10 min approx. )
Allow the pressure to get released .
Let it cook till raw smell leaves and oil separates.
Drizzle ghee to enhance the taste.
Garnish with coriander leaves.
Serve hot with rice / bread / roti .
