Highly flavour induced chicken !!
The spices fried seperately and ground enriches the taste .This dish is highly recommended for chicken lovers!!
Serves: 4
Cooking time : 40 min
Ingredients :
chicken 500gms
Big onions 2 ( chopped )
Tomatoes 2 ( chopped )
Mint leaves a cup
Cinnamon 2
Cloves 3
Cardamom 3
Curry leaves a few
Oil 11/2 tbsp
Fry and grind to paste :
Pepper ¼ tsp
Cumin ¼ tsp
Coriande seeds 1 tbsp
Redchilly 4-5
Small onions 10 -15
Coconut grated 4 tbsp
Poppy seeds 1 tbsp
Castor oil 1 tsp
Method :
In a pan heat oil and fry onions keep aside .
Fry red chilly and all whole spices .
Grind to a coarse paste.
In a pan heat oil throw in spices allow it to splutter.
Fry onions till brown.
Then add tomatoes ,fry till mushy.
Toss in mint leaves then add meat fry well.
Add the paste toss it ,then add water ,salt stir well and close it with a lid cook till meat is tender.
If there is I water in the chicken fry well till all of it is absorbed.
Garnish with coriander leaves.
Serve hot with roti or rice.
