Chicken Masala With White Wine

A simple yet tasty gravy !!!

The highlight of this masala is the addition of the white wine which enriches its taste .

Chicken blends well with wine and spices of the result is a scrumptious chicken .





Serves : 3

Cooking Time : 30 min


Ingredients :

Chicken 500 gms

Cinnamon 2’

Poppy seeds 1 tsp

Red chilly 2

Onions 1 ( sliced )

Tomato 3 ( sliced )

Ginger garlic paste 11/2 tsp

White whine ½ cup

Mint leaves a handful

Turmeric powder ¼ tsp

Chilly powder 1 tsp

Coriander powder 11/2 tsp

Salt to taste

Oil 11/2 tbsp


Method :

Heat oil in a pressure cooker ,throw in cinnamon ,poppy seeds and red chilly ,let it splutter.

Add onions ,let it get brown .

Add tomatoes ,allow it to get mushy.

Add ginger garlic paste and toss.

Add chicken and give a mix.

Add salt ,turmeric powder ,chilly powder and toss.

Add wine ,give a toss.

Add coriander powder ,give a mix.

Add water( ½ cup ) , give a mix.

Close and cook under pressure. ( 10 – 12 min )

Open and cook till water evaporates .

Garnish with mint leaves.

Serve hot with rice / roti /dosa.
