Chicken Pepper Fry

Chicken and Pepper are best friends .They pair too well ,beyond words to describe. This duo can't go wrong at any cost .We can also call this one of the sought after dish ,which is certainly there in every or all the menu cards in a restaurants. This dish tags along with Biriyani as well.This is another popular combo which is exists on the sunday spread in many of the households.


Serves : 2-3

Cooking Time : 30 min


Ingredients

Chicken 500 gms

Onion 2-3 ( sliced )

Tomatoes 2 (sliced )

Cinnamon 2’’

Oil 1 tbsp

Salt to taste

Coriander leaves garnish


Dry fry and grind :

Coriander seeds 11/2 tbsp

Pepper 1 tsp

Fennel /somf 1-11/2 tsp

Jeera/cumin ¾ tsp

Red chilly 5-7 (to taste )

Ginger ½ ‘’

Garlic 7-8 pearls

Coconut 2-3 tbsp

Method :

In a pan heat oil add cinnamon, let it splutter.

Add onions and let it brown.

Add tomatoes and fry,till mushy.

Now add the chicken pieces and toss.

Add the ground paste and toss for a couple of minutes.

Add water and salt,give it a good mix.

Close with a lid and cook on slow flame.

Once the meat is soft ,open the lid and cook till oil is seen on the surface.

Serve hot with rice /roti/paratta.
