Chicken Rasam

Tastiest Rasam !!

This is a good remedy for cold ,this was what would be served when anyone in the household had running nose .It is believed that the spices with chicken would dissolve the phlegm .



Serves : 3

Cooking time : 30 min


Ingredients :

Chicken 200 gms

Tomatoes 2 ( pureed )

Garlic 3 ( crushed)

Pepper ¼ tsp

Cummin ¼ tsp

Lime 1 ( juice )

Coriander leaves a few

Ghee 1 tsp


Fry in oil and grind to paste :

Onions 10

Red chilly 2

Coriander seeds 1 tbsp

Curry leaves a few

Method :

In a pan heat ghee add mustard ,turmeric ,garlic let it brown.

Add chicken and fry .

Add the tomato puree ,let it boil.

Add the ground masala and let it cook closed with a lid for a few minutes .

Add the crushed jeera and pepper.

When the meat is cooked add lime juice.

Garnish with coriander leaves.

Serve hot with rice.
