Chicken Sukka

Well known delicacy of the southern states of India.

A traditional spicy dish which always please the taste buds .Very easy to make and can never go wrong . This delicacy never fails to take a seat in each and every restaurant menu.



Serves : 3

Cooking Time : 30 min


Ingredients :

Chicken 300 gms

Cinnamon 2’

Onion 1

Curry leaves a few

Ginger garlic paste 1 tsp

Turmeric ¼ tsp

Salt to taste

Oil 1 tbsp


Dry roast & grind :

Pepper ¼ tsp

Cumin ¼ tsp

Fennel ½ tsp

Red chilly 3

Poppy seeds ½ tsp


Method :

Heat oil add cinnamon ,allow it splutter.

Add onions and curry leaves and fry till onions are transparent.

Add ginger garlic paste and turmeric , toss a bit.

Add chicken and toss.

Add the ground paste with half cup , salt and stir well.

Close and cook till meat is soft.

Once the meat is soft fry well till oil seperates.

Add the grated coconut and mix well.

Garnish with coriander leaves.

Serve hot with rice /roti /dosa.
