Chinese Chilly Chicken

A most exciting unforgettable dish !!

Chilly Chicken steals everybody's hearts ,especially this recipe.As a kid when we used to holiday in summer this was served in one of the renowned resturants of those times.



Serves 3

Cooking Time 50 min


Ingredients:

Chicken boneless 500 gms

Ginger garlic paste 1 tsp ( to taste )

Salt to taste

Corn flour 1 ½ - 2 tbsp ( or maida )

Egg 1

Pepper 1/4 tsp

Garlic 3-4 tbsp

Capsicum I ( chopped )

Green Chilly 3-4 ( chopped )

Coriander leaves 1 tbsp( chopped )

Oil 1 tbsp & to deep fry

Onions 1 (finely chopped)

Celery 1 stalk ( chopped ,optional )

Spring onions 2 -3 stalks (chopped ,optional )

Tomato ketchup 2 - 4 tbsp ( to taste )

Salt to taste


Method :

First marinate the chicken with ginger garlic paste , salt, egg, cornflour for 30 minutes.

Then deep fry and set aside.

Fry green chilly and garlic seperately and keep aside.

In a pan heat oil fry onions till brown.

Then add capsicum( if adding spring onions, celery time to add) ,fry well.

Throw in the fried chicken pieces and add ketchup and ,make sure the pieces are well coated with the sauce.

Garnish with already fried garlic ,green chilly and coriander leaves.

Serve hot.
