This is one of the sought after dish of our household .When the kids were small this would be made ,when there was laid back mind frame to cook. It would suffice the whole days meal plan.
Cooking time : 30 min
Serves : 3-4
Ingredients :
Pasta 100 gms
Cauliflower 50—75 gms
Corn 75 – 100 gms
Milk 2-21/2 cups
Cheese 75- 100 gms ( any thing of personal preference )
Salt to taste
Maida 2 -21/2 tbsp
Seasoning oregano (optional )
Butter 1 tbsp
Oil ½ tsp
Onion 1 (finely chopped )
Green chilly 2-3 (to taste /slit /chopped )
Bread crumbs 1-2 tsp
Method :
In pan boil water with a half spoon oil and bit of salt,add pasta let it cook till its cooked.
Run it in cold water and transfer it to a colander,allow it to cool.
In a pan heat butter add onions, green chilly and fry till it changes colour.
Add Maida and fry it on low flame till a nice aroma comes.
Let is get to room temperature.
Add milk mix well,make sure no lumps are formed.
Now switch on the fire ,keep on low flame and keep mixing ,making sure it does not stick to the bottom.
Let it become a thick sauce.
Now add grated cheese and give it a good mix.
On another pan add little butter and fry the cauliflower and corn.(but make sure its crunch)
Now mix the cauliflower ,corn and pasta to the sauce.
If addition of seasoning is preferred now is the time to add.
Give it good mix ,transfer it to a baking tray.
Sprinkle some bread crumbs and cheese .
Bake in an oven at 150 f till the surface gets brown.
Serve hot with ketchup /chilly sauce /bread toast.
