Bliss in the summer!! Irresitable Binge !!
Its a soothening treat to beat the heat .In the summer it is the most sought after food
and stays cool to the stomach as well .The semiya with curds ,milk ,sugar and the tampering is good to the taste buds .
Serves : 3
Cooking Time : 30 min
Ingredients :
Semiya 250 gms
Milk 1 cup
Curds ½ cup ( to taste )
Mustard ¼ tsp
Urad dhal ¼ tsp
Cumin ¼ tsp
Raisins a few
Curry leaves a few
Red chilly 1
Green chilly 1
Coriander leave to garnish
Carrot 2 tbsp ( grated )
Oil ½ tsp
Method :
To boiling water add the vermicelli and let it cook till soft.
Drain the water ,then add cold water to the same ,so that it does not get sticky.
Let it cool. Transfer it to a mixing bowl
In a pan heat oil add mustard ,uradh dhal, cumin ,let it splutter.
Add curry leaves red and green chilly .
Then add raisins and give a toss.
Transfer it to the bowl with vermicelli .
Add milk, salt and sugar ,mix well.
Add curds ( to the needed consistency ).
Garnish with grated carrot ,coriander leaves.
Note :
Pomegranate or fresh grapes can also be used.
