Curry Leaf Powder

Curry Leaf Powder is a very aromatic one, iron and protein rich as well.

The iron rich Curry Leaf combined with roasted dahl ,sesame and asafoetida is simply drooling . This saves as a good source of health and taste.


Cooking time :15 min

Ingredients :

Urad dhal 150 gms

Chana dhal 150 gms

Curry leaves 2 handful

Red Chillies 4-6 ( to taste )

Asafoetida ½ tsp

Sesame seeds ½ -1 cup ( to taste )

Salt to taste


Method :

Dry roast chana dhal till a nice aroma comes and set aside.

Urad dhal should be roasted to golden brown colour , set aside.

Add the red chilly with some salt and fry till ,set aside.

Add curry leaves and fry till it gets crisp , set aside.

Add sesame seeds and fry well till it splutters.

Add asafoetida ,give a toss ,set aside.

When it cools to room temperature ,add to a mixer jar ,make a coarse powder.

Store well in an air tight bottle .

Can be served in combination with hot rice and ghee.
