Methi Bread

Bread is bread always , but this a totally a spectacular combination .

Bread with methi is simply fantastic .Mom adapted this concoation from her friend hailing from the northern part of our country. When mom tasted anything new when she went on her Kitty Party ,she would make it at home and invite a close acquaitance residing next door to try it out. ( Shashi & Chandra hope you remember ) She loved serving food .


Serves 4

Cooking Time 45 min


Ingredients

Bread 6-9 slices ( chopped )

Onions 1 ( chopped )

Tomatoes 2 ( chopped )

Oil 1- 2 tbsp

Salt to taste


Grind to paste :

Methi leaves 1 cup

Coriander leaves 1 cup

Green chilly 3

Garlic 4 cloves

Ginger ½ “

Method :

In a pan heat oil ,fry onions to transparent .

Add tomatoes and allow it to turn mushy.

Now add the paste ,allow the raw smell to leave.

Now add 11/2 to 2 cups of water and let it boil ,then add the bread and mix well till the gravy is well absorbed by the bread.

Serve hot only .

Garnish with ghee ( optional ) and coriander leaves.

Note :

Bread can be added just before serving for it should be served ONLY hot.
