Mushroom Gravy is all time favourite !!
Mushroom is simply one of the tastiest of foods. This gravy is very easy to make .
The spices with ground coconut paste simply elevates the Mushroom flavour.
Serves : 3
Cooking Time : 30 min
Ingredients :
Mushrooms 200 gms
Onion 1 ( chopped )
Tomato 1( chopped )
Coriander powder ¾ tsp
Red chilly powder ½ tsp
Curry leaves a few
Fennel ½ tsp
Turmeric ¼ tsp
Cinnamon 1’
Oil 1 tbsp
Salt to taste
Grind to a paste :
Coconut 2-3 tbsp ( grated )
Garlic 1 pearl
Ginger ½ ‘ (optional )
Cashew 3-4
Method :
In a pan heat oil ,throw in fennel ,cinnamon , curry leaves, let it splutter.
Add onions and let it change colour.
Add tomato and let it get mushy.
Add turmeric and salt ,toss well.
Add the chopped mushrooms and toss.
Add red chilly powder , coriander powder and toss.
Add water ,mix it ,close and cook .( 5-7 min approx.)
Now add the ground paste with some water ,close and cook ,open and for a bit cook till raw smell leaves.
Garnish with coriander leaves.
Serve hot with roti/ dosa/ rice.
