A light creamy simple Mushroom Soup which can never go wrong for beginners too.
It is one of the tastiest of the soups which bears low calorie , yet no less tasty.
This is one of the favourite of our household and takes a place in the weekly menu.
It tastes better and creamy when cream is added. This soup suits one best on a rainy day.
Serves : 3-4
Cooking Time : 30 min
Ingredients :
Mushrooms 200 gms ( chopped )
Onion 1 ( chopped )
Garlic 2 pearls
Bay leaf 2
Butter / ghee 1 tbsp
Pepper to taste
Cheese to garnish ( grated )
Salt to taste
Method :
In a pan heat butter / ghee .
Throw in bay leaf .
Add onions and garlic ,allow it to change colour.
Add mushrooms , salt and give a good mix .
Add water ,mix well ,close and cook .( 10 min approx. )
Remove bay leaf.
When it reaches room temperature ,grind the mushrooms to a coarse paste .
Give the mushroom mixture a boil .
Add pepper to taste.
Garnish with cheese /pumkin seeds /bread courtons.
Note : Cream can be added to enhance the taste.
