This recepie was made in mind for health conscious folks.The oats are gluten free for gluten watchers.Its subsituted with dates instead of sugar .This is one for the guilt free binges one can go when one has a sweet craving.
Ingredients :
Oats 1 cup
Banana 2 big (4 small )
Deseeded Dates 150 -200 gms (to taste )
Eggs 2
Butter milk ¾ cup
Baking powder ½ tsp
Salt a pinch
Vanilla essence 1 tsp
Cinnamon powder ½ tsp
Use either Vanilla essence or cinnamon powder.
Method :
Beat eggs.
Blend the deseeded dates and add to the eggs.
Mash the bananas and add to the egg and date mixture.
To the oats add salt and baking powder.Give it a good mix and add to the above mixture.
Add butter milk with vanilla essence or cinnamon powder.
Give it a good mix.
Grease a baking loaf and transfer the contents to it.
Bake in pre-heated oven for 20 min at 180 c.
Serve hot.
Note : One can add powdered oats instead of the whole oats.There is a cruch in the texture when whole oats are used.
