Paal payasam

Most tempting !!

All time kid's favourite .

This payasam is just too delicious . No one will resist a second helping.When my kids were young i would make a big helping of this and leave it on the dinning table They would drink it on and off and that would suffice for lunch.

Serves : 4

Cooking time : 60 min


Ingredient :

Milk 1 lit

Basmathi rice 75 gms

Sugar 250 – 300 gms ( to taste )

Butter 1 – 11/2 tbsp


Method :


In a cooker bring the milk to boil .

Add the washed rice , close it with the lid and cook under pressure for 30 min on slow flame.

Open when the pressure is released ,stir well.

Add sugar and cook till the raw smell leaves and sugar is blended well with milk and rice mixture.

Add butter and switch off .

Serve hot .
