A easy peasy Pulao !!
Aromatic Pulao which matches all kinds of gravies. This is my favourite ,which will be on the table on all special occassions like Diwali and my Birthday .
Serves : 3
Cooking Time : 25 min
Ingredients :
Basmathi Rice 1 cup
Peas 1 cup
Onions 1 ( chopped )
Garlic 1 tbsp ( chopped )
Ginger ¾ tsp ( chopped )
Green Chilly 4-5 (slit )
Coconut milk 11/2 cup
Cashew 5-6
Curry Leaves a few
Bay leaf 1
Cardamom 2
Cinnamon 2
Oil & ghee 1 – 11/2 tbsp
Salt to taste
Method :
In a cooker heat oil & ghee ,throw in bay leaf ,cinnamon & cardamom.
As it splutters add chilly & curry leaves and allow it to saute it.
Add cashew ,ginger and garlic, give it a toss.
Add onions and brown it.
Add rice and give it a toss.
Now add salt and peas.
Add coconut milk and water , mix well.
Close and cook under pressure for 10 min on slow flame.
Release the pressure , give it a mix .
Garnish with coriander leaves .
Serve with Raita or Kurma or Gravy.
