Pesarrattu /Green gram dosa

Andhra 's most popular dish !! Pesarrattu !!

Protein packed and a treat to the taste buds.Easy to prepare.No fermentation required.The lentils can be soaked a couple of hours and can be blended with spices of your choice to get in the protein quotient for a meal.It’s easy on the pocket as well !!!




Ingredients :-

Greengrams              1 cup

Greenchilly                2-3 (red chilly can also be used )

Ginger                         ½ ‘’

Cummin                     ½ tsp

Curryleaves                a few

Asafoetida                  ¼ tsp

Salt                               to taste


Method :-

Soak the dhal for minimum of 2-3 hours.

In a mixer jar grind all other ingredients expect the dhal coarsely.

Now add the washed dhal and make a coarse paste.

Transfer to  a container.

Batter is ready to make dosa.

Serve hot with tomato or coconut chutney.


Note :- 

Finely chopped any of the following ingredient to your preference can be added to the batter. onion,green chilli ,coriander leaves ,moringa leaves ,grated carrot .
