A very flavorful biriyani .
Simple yet a bowl with a delicious punch and the tasters go drooling over it.No one can resist a second helping , and the taste lingers with your taste buds
for a longer duration.

Cooking Time 45 min
Ingredients :
Prawns 250 gms ( cleaned & deveined )
Jeeraka samba 1 cup ( washed )
Mint leaves 3 tbsp
Coriander leaves to garnish
Lime juice 1 tbsp ( to taste )
Ginger garlic paste 1 1/2 tsp
Onions 1 ( chopped )
Tomato 2 (chopped )
Red chilly powder ¾ tsp ( to taste )
Green chilly 2 – 3 ( to taste )
Turmeric ¼ tsp
Salt to taste
Oil 1 – 2 tbsp ( coconut oil recommended )
Method
Marinate the prawn for 30 min with ½ tsp ginger garlic paste , turmeric and chilly powder.
In a heavy bottomed vessel heat the oil toss the prawns for 5 minutes and set aside.
In the same oil toss in the onions ,fry till brown.
Now add the tomatoes ,green chilly and allow it to get mushy.
Time to add ginger garlic paste and give it a toss.
Now add water ( 2 – 21/2 cups ) of water ,allow it to boil.
Add the chopped mint ,coriander leaves ,rice and salt.
Stir it close with a lid and cook on slow flame for 10 – 15 minutes.
Check whether the rice is cooked.
Now add the prawns and lime juice and mix well .
Keep it for few minutes and serve hot with raitha.
Note :
Coconut milk can be used too with water for an enriched flavor.
