Rajma Potato Gravy

Rajma Potato Gravy is a traditional gravy which suits all occasions.

Rajma Chawal is an iconic dish ,which stays the favourite of many .

Rajma cooked with Potatoes is simply drooling which is easy to make and stays as good choice for lunch box addition too.



Serves : 3

Cooking Time : 40 min


Ingredients :

Rajma 150 gms(soaked overnight )

Potatoes 2(cubed )

Tomatoes 2(chopped )

Onion 1(chopped )

Turmeric 1/4tsp

Chilly Powder 1/2-3/4tsp

Mustard 1/4 tsp

Urad dhal 1/4 tsp

Curry leaves a few

Red chilly 2

Oil 1tsp

Salt to taste


Method :


In a pressure cooker cook rajma under pressure with potatoes ,tomatoes ,turmeric powder chilly powder , salt and water .

In a kadai heat oil ,throw in mustard ,urad dhal ,curry leaves ,red chilly ,onions and fry well.

Add a couple spoons of cooked rajma and potatoes ,smash well .

Now add the remaining rajma and cook well till raw smell leaves.

Garnish with coriander leaves.

Serve hot with roti , rice .
