Rava Kesari

All Time Favourite !!!

Rava Kesari is simple yet tasty dish. This acts as a saviour at the sudden advent of guests. Made with minimalistic ingredients always stocked in the kitchen.This is our households favourite !!


Serves : 4

Cooking Time : 25 min


Ingredients :

Semolina 1 cup ( Rava )

Sugar 1 cup

Milk 1 cup

Ghee 1 cup ( approx. )

Raisins 10 -15 nos

Cashew 10 – 15 nos

Cardamom Powder ¼ tsp


Method : -

In a pan add ghee and fry the raisins and cashew and set aside.

In the same pan some ghee and fry the semolina ( Rava ) till a nice aroma comes.

Now add colouring and give a mix.

Add sugar and toss.

Add milk and mix gently ,making sure no lumps are formed.

Close and cook .( 10 - 12 min )

Open the lid and give a mix on and off now and then.

Add ghee too when required ,such that it does not stick to the bottom of the vessel.

When the rava is well cooked , toss in the cardamom powder and mix well.

Sprinkle the cashew and raisins.

Serve hot.
