Sabudana Vegetable Uppama

Sabudana vegetable uppma is very healthy option for a meal .The goodness of veggies with sago / sabudana is light on the stomach and pocket .This is a sattvic option too . This can be eaten even on fasting days.


Serves : 4

Cooking Time : 30 min


Ingredients :

Mustard ¼ tsp

Urad dhal ¼ tsp

Cumin ¼ tsp

Green chilly 4-5 ( slit )

Curry leaves a few

Ginger 1 tsp ( chopped )

Carrot 1 cup ( chopped )

Corn & peas 1 cup

Lime 1 ( juice )

Coriander leaves to garnish

Sabudana 150 gms ( soaked overnight )

Roasted groundnut 1 cup

Coconut 1 cup

Salt to taste

Oil 1 tbsp


Method :

In a pan heat oil throw in mustard ,urad dhal ,cumin ,allow it to splutter.

Add green chilly ,curry leaves and ginger ,toss well.

Add the vegetables ,salt ,give it a mix & close and cook.

When the vegetables get soft add sabudana ,salt and lime juice ,give it a mix ,close and cook .( 10 min approx. ,stir it on and off )

When the sabudna is cooked ,add ground nuts ,coconut coriander leaves and give it a mix.

Serve hot with coconut chutney .
