My favourite sweet !!
One of the simplest ,inexpensive and healthiest sweet which is full polyunsaturated fatty acid, omega3, fibre and so on. Earlier days this was a must have when girls attained puberty in order to nourish them with all the goodness this little seed has.Also it is made as an offering for Goddess on auspious days like Varalakshmi Viratham and Saraswati Pooja.
Makes : 8 – 10
Cooking time : 30 min
Ingredients :
Sesame seeds 1 cup
Brown sugar 1 cup
Method :
In a kadai dry roast the sesame seeds ,till it splutters a fine aroma comes.
Let it cool down.
The blend it in a mixie / blender with brown sugar till both nicely blends .( one can make balls )
Make nice smooth balls.
