Christmas Delicacy !!

Kids Favourite !!

Heavely Treat !!

This is one of my favorite snacks which was available in my house hold when i was kid .My mom would make it as when time permits .



Serves : 5

Cooking Time : 40 min


Ingredients :

Wheat flour 1 cup

Sugar 1 cup

Cardamom Powder ½ tsp

Soda bicarb ¼ tsp

Salt ¼ tsp ( to taste )

Oil 1 tsp

Oil to deep fry


Method :

In a bowl add all the dry ingredients and mix.

Add oil and water ,make a soft dough .Set aside for 30 min.

Roll it to thin rounds and cut into squares or diamonds .

Deep fry to golden brown.

Can be stored in air tight containers for a couple of days.


Note :

White sugar can be replaced with brown sugar.

Maida can be used instead of wheat flour.





Saltpara

Serves :5

Ajwain ½ tsp

Soda bicarb ¼ tsp

Salt ¼ tsp ( to taste )

Oil 1 tsp

Oil to deep fry


Method :

In a bowl add all the dry ingredients and mix.

Add oil and water ,make a soft dough .Set aside for 30 min.

Note :

Can replace ajwain with cumin or sesame or curry leaves.

Can add red chilly powder too if spice is required.

Maida can be used instead of wheat flour.
