Spinach steam kuzambu

One of my childhood favourite dish!!

Whenever my mom asked what i wanted ,always i would sound for this !!A fiber rich and healthy dish. The steam turns into a very tasty and unique

concoction .



Serves :4

Cooking time: 30 min


Ingredients :

Spinach steam 1 cup (chopped thandu keerai )

Small Onions 4 nos (chopped )

Tomato 2 nos (chopped )

Oil 1tsp

Salt to taste

Grind to paste :

Small Onions 5-6 nos

Red chilly 3

Coriander powder 1 tsp

Puffed gram dhal 1tbsp

Coconut grated 3 tbsp

Turmeric a pinch


Method :

In a pan heat add mustard ,urad dhal let it splutter.

Add onions and saute till transparent.

Add tomato and fry till mushy.

Now add the chopped steam and toss it.

Add the ground paste ,salt water .

Close with a lid and cook for a few minutes till the raw smell leaves.

Serve hot with rice /dosa /iddli.
