A rich drooling curry !!
Always a super duper hit in a spread. Though it is made with minimalist ingredients always in stock at most of the household ,it is a scrumptious dish.
Ingredients :
- Chicken 500 gms
- Tomatoes 4-5 ( blanched &pureed )
- Onions 2
- Green chilly 2
- Bay leaf 2
- Cinnamon 2
- Cardamom 2
- Red chilly powder 1-2 tsp
- Coriander powder 1tsp
- Oil 2 tbsp
- Salt to taste
Grind to paste :
- Garlic 5-6 pearls
- Ginger ½ tsp
- Poppy seeds 1 tsp
Method :
- In boiling water add the tomatoes allow it to cook for 5 min & switch off.
- Cool it peel the skin and blend it .
- In a pan heat oil add the bay leaf , cinnamon and cardamom .
- As it splutters add onions , green chilly and fry till brown.
- Now add the ground paste and toss.
- Add the chicken and toss.
- Time to add the powders and mix well.
- Add the tomato puree with required water and salt to taste, close and cook till meat is tender.
- Garnish with coriander leaves.
