National Dish of Hungary !!
As the name suggests its a very authentic dish !!
Drooling smooth velvetty gravy !!
Very popular dish in Europe which is served inalmost all the popular dine outs !!!
Ingredients :-
- Beef 500 gms
- Onions 2 ( sliced )
- Garlic 5 pearls
- Tomato puree 2-3 no
- Sugar 1 tsp
- Chicken broth 1 cup ( or maggi cubes )
- Bay leaf 1
- Salt to taste
- Balsamic vinegar ½ tsp ( to taste )
Dry fry the species :-
- Shahi jeera 11/2 – 2 tsp( coarse powder)
- Chilli powder 1 – 1/2tsp ( to taste )
- Pepper ½ tsp ( optional)
- Thyme ½ tsp
Method :-
- Fry the beef chunks in oil ,in a pan.
- Add it to a pressure cooker or slow cooker.
- In the pan where the beef was fried add the dry species & fry it till a beautiful aroma comes.
- Switch off the flame,add the chicken broth to glaze it .
- Now add this to the beef vessel.
- Add garlic,tomato puree,bay leaf,sugar ,vinegar,water & salt.
- Cook well till the meat gets tender.If cooking in a pressure cooker say 6-7 whistle.
- Now release the pressure ,open the lid to check the softness if the meat.
- Then allow it to boil till oil floats on the top.
- Serve hot with rice ,potato ,noodles.
