Mint Coriander Chicken is on high doze in this recipe for the mint lovers. This is a versatile dish which suits all occasions and proves as a great side dish be it rice or roti or parotta. It’s easy to make and a never can go wrong dish.
Ingredients :
- Chicken legs 500 gms
- Onion 2(sliced)
- Tomatoes 2 (small,chopped)
- Cinnamon 1’’
- Oil 1 tbsp
- Salt to taste
- Coriander leaves to garnish (optional)
- Grind to paste:
- Coriander leaves 1 handful
- Mint leaves 1 handful
- Green chilly 6-7 (to taste)
- Onion a handful
- Coriander powder ¾ -1 tsp
- Ginger ½’’
- Garlic 6-7 pearls
- Turmeric ¼ tsp
- Whole species (optional)
- Curry leaves a few
Method :
- In a cooker or pan heat oil, add cinnamon allow it to splutter.
- Add onions, let it get brown.
- Now add tomatoes and allow it to get mushy.
- Now add the paste &fry till raw smell vanishes.
- Add the chicken, salt, water close with a lid and cook on low flame ,giving mixes on and off.
- When the chicken is cooked open the lid and cook till oil surfaces.
- Garnish with coriander leaves.
- Serve hot with ghee rice/roti/parrota.
Note :
- If more gravy is required, then add coconut milk before switching off the fire.
