Soya sundal is a very easy to handle dish.Its one of the healthy way out and filling on the stomach.

Its a different option from the regular legumes option.Its unlike the legumes not heavy or gassy on the tummy .

Ingredients :

  • Soya chunks 1 cup
  • Carrot 1or 2 ( grated )
  • Coconut 2-3 tbsp ( grated )
  • Lime ½ (juice )
  • Ginger garlic paste ½ -3/4 tsp
  • Onion 1 ( chopped )
  • Green chilly 1or 2 ( to taste )
  • Curry leaves a few
  • Urad dhal ¼ tsp
  • Mustard ¼ tsp
  • Oil ¾ tbsp
  • Salt to taste

Method :

  • In boiling water add soya chunks and allow it to cook for 5-7 minutes.
  • Set aside to cool.
  • When it cools , squeeze out the water .
  • In a pan heat oil ,throw in mustard as it splutters.
  • Add urad dhal ,allow it to splutter.
  • Add curry leaves , green chilly and onions ,let it change colour.
  • Throw in ginger garlic paste ,toss it.
  • Add the soya , salt ,lime juice and give it to a good toss.
  • Garnish with coriander leaves and grated coconut.
  • Serve hot .
