Chicken Sukka

Well known delicacy of the southern states of India.

A traditional spicy dish which always please the taste buds .Very easy to make and can never go wrong . This delicacy never fails to take a seat in each and every restaurant menu.

Ingredients :

  • Chicken 300 gms
  • Cinnamon 2’
  • Onion 1
  • Curry leaves a few
  • Ginger garlic paste 1 tsp
  • Turmeric ¼ tsp
  • Salt to taste
  • Oil 1 tbsp

Dry roast & grind :

  • Pepper ¼ tsp
  • Cumin ¼ tsp
  • Fennel ½ tsp
  • Red chilly 3
  • Poppy seeds ½ tsp

Method :

  • Heat oil add cinnamon ,allow it splutter.
  • Add onions and curry leaves and fry till onions are transparent.
  • Add ginger garlic paste and turmeric , toss a bit.
  • Add chicken and toss.
  • Add the ground paste with half cup , salt and stir well.
  • Close and cook till meat is soft.
  • Once the meat is soft fry well till oil seperates.
  • Add the grated coconut and mix well.
  • Garnish with coriander leaves.
  • Serve hot with rice /roti /dosa.
