Well known delicacy of the southern states of India.
A traditional spicy dish which always please the taste buds .Very easy to make and can never go wrong . This delicacy never fails to take a seat in each and every restaurant menu.
Ingredients :
- Chicken 300 gms
- Cinnamon 2’
- Onion 1
- Curry leaves a few
- Ginger garlic paste 1 tsp
- Turmeric ¼ tsp
- Salt to taste
- Oil 1 tbsp
Dry roast & grind :
- Pepper ¼ tsp
- Cumin ¼ tsp
- Fennel ½ tsp
- Red chilly 3
- Poppy seeds ½ tsp
Method :
- Heat oil add cinnamon ,allow it splutter.
- Add onions and curry leaves and fry till onions are transparent.
- Add ginger garlic paste and turmeric , toss a bit.
- Add chicken and toss.
- Add the ground paste with half cup , salt and stir well.
- Close and cook till meat is soft.
- Once the meat is soft fry well till oil seperates.
- Add the grated coconut and mix well.
- Garnish with coriander leaves.
- Serve hot with rice /roti /dosa.
