A very versitile receipe !!

Good luch box idea which will be relished by the kids !!

The left overs can be turned into a mouth watering dish whereby the left overs are used to its fullest without wastage !!

Ingredients :-

  • Chapatis 10- 12 ( left over )
  • Onion 1 sliced
  • Tomato 1 sliced
  • G.chilly 1-2
  • Curry leaves a few
  • Turmeric powder ¼ tsp
  • Garam masala ½ tsp
  • Oil 1-11/2 tbsp
  • Coriander leaves 2 tbsp ( garnish )
  • Eggs 2
  • Salt to taste

Method ;-

  • Cut the chapatis to thin stripes .( like noodles )
  • In a pan heat oil fry the onions ,with curry leaves & chilly.
  • Once it turns colour add the tomatoes ,allow it to get mushy.
  • Add turmeric,salt & garam masala powder ,give it a toss .( needs to be in low flame )
  • Add 2 tbsp water for the aroma to sweep it. Let it evaporate.
  • Now add the chapatis and toss gently.
  • Garnish with coriander leaves.
  • In a small kadai heat ghee /oil break in the eggs and fry it well.If preferred add a pinch of salt.
  • Now garnish it on top of the chapati and serve hot.

Note :-

  • It will be a good idea to add a left over chicken or mutton curry with pieces while addind the powders.If chicken or mutton is added it would taste it taste like kotthu parota which is bought in a resturant.
