This is an aromatic rice ,with loads of vitamin A is very tasty and healthy.The white and orange mixture is very ravishing.

Ingredients :

  • Basmathi rice 1 cup (washed &drained)
  • Carrot 1 cup (grated )
  • Onion 1 (chopped )
  • Green Chilly 3-4 (slit )
  • Cinnamon 1”
  • Bay leaf 1
  • Oil&ghee 2 tbsp
  • Salt to taste

Method :

  • In a pressure pan / cooker heat oil &ghee add cinnamon , bay leaf ,green chilly allow it to fry for 2 minutes.
  • Add onions ,fry till transparent.
  • Now add the rice and give it a toss.
  • Add 1 ½ cup water,grated carrot, salt and stir it .Close the lid and cook under pressure for 10 min.
  • Serve hot.
  • This vitamin A enriched rice will be loved by kids and good for lunch box packing.
