Potato is the best combination with chicken.
This curry is mild blend of spices and coconut .

Ingredients :
- Chicken 500 gms (washed )
- Cinnamon 2 pieces
- Cloves 2
- Onions 2 ( chopped )
- Tomatoes 2 ( chopped )
- Potatoes 2 (cubed )
- Curry leaves a few
- Coriander to garnish
- Oil 2 tbsp
Fry in oil & grind :
- Small onions 10 -15 nos
- Red chilly 10 nos
- Ginger ¾ “
- Garlic 10 nos
- Coriander seeds 1 tbsp
- Turmeric ¼ tsp
- Curry leaves a few
- Castor oil 1tsp
Grind to paste :
- Coconut 4 tbsp
- Fennel ½ tsp
- Poppy seeds 1 tsp
- Cashew 5 -6
Method :
- In a cooker or heavy bottomed vessel heat oil and throw in whole spices,let it splutter.
- Add onions and allow it become transparent.
- Then add tomato let it become mushy.
- Add chicken and toss a bit.
- Add potatoes give it a stir .
- Now the fried and ground paste can be added with required amount of water and salt .
- Close the lid and cook till meat is tender.
- Now its time to add the coconut paste and cook till raw smell goes.
- Garnish with coriander leaves
- Serve hot with chappathi /ghee rice /dosa.
