Tomato Curry is one of the favourite of the house hold .This dish can be made in no time and its very tasty too. The blend of spices with coconut and tomato is simply fantastic.
Ingredients :
- Cinnamon 1’
- Fennel ¼ tsp
- Red chilly 1
- Onion 1 ( chopped )
- Coriander leaves to garnish
- Fennel powder ¾ tsp
- Oil 11/2 tbsp
- Salt to taste
Grind to a paste :
- Turmeric ¼ tsp
- Chilly powder ¾ – 1 tsp
- Coriander powder 1 tsp
- Puffed gram 1 tsp
- Coconut ½ cup
- Tomatoes 2-3
Method :
- In a vessel heat oil ,throw in whole species ,let it splutter.
- Add red chilly and onions ,let it change colour .
- Add the ground paste and give it a toss.
- Add water .salt ,fennel powder and mix well.
- Let it boil till raw smell leaves.
- Garnish with coriander leaves.
- Serve hot with roti / dosa / idly.
