One of my childhood favourite dish!!
Whenever my mom asked what i wanted ,always i would sound for this !!A fiber rich and healthy dish. The steam turns into a very tasty and unique
concoction .
Ingredients :
- Spinach steam 1 cup (chopped thandu keerai )
- Small Onions 4 nos (chopped )
- Tomato 2 nos (chopped )
- Oil 1tsp
- Salt to taste
Grind to paste :
- Small Onions 5-6 nos
- Red chilly 3
- Coriander powder 1 tsp
- Puffed gram dhal 1tbsp
- Coconut grated 3 tbsp
- Turmeric a pinch
Method :
- In a pan heat add mustard ,urad dhal let it splutter.
- Add onions and saute till transparent.
- Add tomato and fry till mushy.
- Now add the chopped steam and toss it.
- Add the ground paste ,salt water .
- Close with a lid and cook for a few minutes till the raw smell leaves.
- Serve hot with rice /dosa /iddli.
