Spinach steam kuzambu

One of my childhood favourite dish!!

Whenever my mom asked what i wanted ,always i would sound for this !!A fiber rich and healthy dish. The steam turns into a very tasty and unique
concoction .

Ingredients :

  • Spinach steam 1 cup (chopped thandu keerai )
  • Small Onions 4 nos (chopped )
  • Tomato 2 nos (chopped )
  • Oil 1tsp
  • Salt to taste

Grind to paste :

  • Small Onions 5-6 nos
  • Red chilly 3
  • Coriander powder 1 tsp
  • Puffed gram dhal 1tbsp
  • Coconut grated 3 tbsp
  • Turmeric a pinch

Method :

  • In a pan heat add mustard ,urad dhal let it splutter.
  • Add onions and saute till transparent.
  • Add tomato and fry till mushy.
  • Now add the chopped steam and toss it.
  • Add the ground paste ,salt water .
  • Close with a lid and cook for a few minutes till the raw smell leaves.
  • Serve hot with rice /dosa /iddli.
