Curry Leaf Powder is a very aromatic one, iron and protein rich as well.

The iron rich Curry Leaf combined with roasted dahl ,sesame and asafoetida is simply drooling . This saves as a good source of health and taste.

Ingredients :

  • Urad dhal 150 gms
  • Chana dhal 150 gms
  • Curry leaves 2 handful
  • Red Chillies 4-6 ( to taste )
  • Asafoetida ½ tsp
  • Sesame seeds ½ -1 cup ( to taste )
  • Salt to taste

Method :

  • Dry roast chana dhal till a nice aroma comes and set aside.
  • Urad dhal should be roasted to golden brown colour , set aside.
  • Add the red chilly with some salt and fry till ,set aside.
  • Add curry leaves and fry till it gets crisp , set aside.
  • Add sesame seeds and fry well till it splutters.
  • Add asafoetida ,give a toss ,set aside.
  • When it cools to room temperature ,add to a mixer jar ,make a coarse powder.
  • Store well in an air tight bottle .
  • Can be served in combination with hot rice and ghee.
