Curry Leaf Powder is a very aromatic one, iron and protein rich as well.
The iron rich Curry Leaf combined with roasted dahl ,sesame and asafoetida is simply drooling . This saves as a good source of health and taste.
Ingredients :
- Urad dhal 150 gms
- Chana dhal 150 gms
- Curry leaves 2 handful
- Red Chillies 4-6 ( to taste )
- Asafoetida ½ tsp
- Sesame seeds ½ -1 cup ( to taste )
- Salt to taste
Method :
- Dry roast chana dhal till a nice aroma comes and set aside.
- Urad dhal should be roasted to golden brown colour , set aside.
- Add the red chilly with some salt and fry till ,set aside.
- Add curry leaves and fry till it gets crisp , set aside.
- Add sesame seeds and fry well till it splutters.
- Add asafoetida ,give a toss ,set aside.
- When it cools to room temperature ,add to a mixer jar ,make a coarse powder.
- Store well in an air tight bottle .
- Can be served in combination with hot rice and ghee.
