A simple yet tasty gravy !!!
The highlight of this masala is the addition of the white wine which enriches its taste .
Chicken blends well with wine and spices of the result is a scrumptious chicken .
Ingredients :
- Chicken 500 gms
- Cinnamon 2’
- Poppy seeds 1 tsp
- Red chilly 2
- Onions 1 ( sliced )
- Tomato 3 ( sliced )
- Ginger garlic paste 11/2 tsp
- White whine ½ cup
- Mint leaves a handful
- Turmeric powder ¼ tsp
- Chilly powder 1 tsp
- Coriander powder 11/2 tsp
- Salt to taste
- Oil 11/2 tbsp
Method :
- Heat oil in a pressure cooker ,throw in cinnamon ,poppy seeds and red chilly ,let it splutter.
- Add onions ,let it get brown .
- Add tomatoes ,allow it to get mushy.
- Add ginger garlic paste and toss.
- Add chicken and give a mix.
- Add salt ,turmeric powder ,chilly powder and toss.
- Add wine ,give a toss.
- Add coriander powder ,give a mix.
- Add water( ½ cup ) , give a mix.
- Close and cook under pressure. ( 10 – 12 min )
- Open and cook till water evaporates .
- Garnish with mint leaves.
- Serve hot with rice / roti /dosa.
