This is an aromatic rice ,with loads of vitamin A is very tasty and healthy.The white and orange mixture is very ravishing.
Ingredients :
- Basmathi rice 1 cup (washed &drained)
- Carrot 1 cup (grated )
- Onion 1 (chopped )
- Green Chilly 3-4 (slit )
- Cinnamon 1”
- Bay leaf 1
- Oil&ghee 2 tbsp
- Salt to taste
Method :
- In a pressure pan / cooker heat oil &ghee add cinnamon , bay leaf ,green chilly allow it to fry for 2 minutes.
- Add onions ,fry till transparent.
- Now add the rice and give it a toss.
- Add 1 ½ cup water,grated carrot, salt and stir it .Close the lid and cook under pressure for 10 min.
- Serve hot.
- This vitamin A enriched rice will be loved by kids and good for lunch box packing.
