A very easy ,but tasty dish.The fennel gives an aromatic flavour and chillies gives the spicy tinge.
Ingredients :
- Chicken 500 gms
- Green chilly 6-7
- Red chilly 4-6
- Onions 2
- Fennel 1 tsp
- Curry leaves a few
- Chilly powder 1 ½ tsp
- Turmeric ¼ tsp
- Lime juice 1tsp
- Salt to taste
- Oil 1 tbsp
Method :
- Marinate chicken with chilly powder ,turmeric, salt and lime juice for at least 30 min.
- In a pan heat oil ,throw in fennel ,as it splutters add the chillies and toss.
- Add onions ,allow it to brown.
- Add the marinated chicken ,mix well ,add little water ,close and cook till meat is soft .
- In case water remains open the lid and fry well.
- Garnish with coriander leaves.
- Serve hot .
- Makes an excellent side dish.
