Andhra ‘s most popular dish !! Pesarrattu !!

Protein packed and a treat to the taste buds.Easy to prepare.No fermentation required.The lentils can be soaked a couple of hours and can be blended with spices of your choice to get in the protein quotient for a meal.It’s easy on the pocket as well !!!

Ingredients :-

  • Greengrams 1 cup
  • Greenchilly 2-3 (red chilly can also be used )
  • Ginger ½ ‘’
  • Cummin ½ tsp
  • Curryleaves a few
  • Asafoetida ¼ tsp
  • Salt to taste

Method :-

  • Soak the dhal for minimum of 2-3 hours.
  • In a mixer jar grind all other ingredients expect the dhal coarsely.
  • Now add the washed dhal and make a coarse paste.
  • Transfer to a container.
  • Batter is ready to make dosa.
  • Serve hot with tomato or coconut chutney.

Note :-

  • Finely chopped any of the following ingredient to your preference can be added to the batter. onion,green chilli ,coriander leaves ,moringa leaves ,grated carrot .
