Heavely Treat !!

This is one of my favorite snacks which was available in my house hold when i was kid .My mom would make it as when time permits.

Ingredients :

  • Wheat flour 1 cup
  • Sugar 1 cup
  • Cardamom Powder ½ tsp
  • Soda bicarb ¼ tsp
  • Salt ¼ tsp ( to taste )
  • Oil 1 tsp
  • Oil to deep fry

Method :

  • In a bowl add all the dry ingredients and mix.
  • Add oil and water ,make a soft dough .Set aside for 30 min.
  • Roll it to thin rounds and cut into squares or diamonds .
  • Deep fry to golden brown.
  • Can be stored in air tight containers for a couple of days.

Note :

  • White sugar can be replaced with brown sugar.
  • Maida can be used instead of wheat flour.
