Festive time without a mouth watering snack ?
No WAY !!
A special snack which was made from my grand mother’s times ,especially during the festive times .A heart stealing snack .
Must Try !!
Ingredients :
- Maida ¾ – 1 cup
- Soda bi – carb a pinch
- Salt to taste
- Oil to deep fry
Filling :
- Cabbage 1 cup
- Carrot 1 cup
- Peas a few
- Green chilly 1
- Onion 1
- Salt to taste
- Oil 1 tsp
Method :
- Knead the flour with soda bi – carb and salt. Set aside.
- In a pan heat oil ,add the onions and green chilly fry till brown.
- Add the chopped cabbage and peas ,give it a toss.
- Add carrot ,add salt and toss.
- Cover it and cook.
- Now make small balls of the dough and roll it out like a thin roti.
- Keep the filling in it and fold it ,press well on the sides and cut it out.
- Now heat oil in a kadai ,as it warms up add the somosa one at a time to golden brown.
- Serve hot with mint chutney / ketchup.
