A very tasty curry ,which stole hearts of many.Although i had this on my list to post it later ,it has been preponed on the request of dear and near.
Ingridents :
- Chicken 500 gms(washed and cleaned)
- Coriander leaves a few springs [garnish ]
- salt to taste
Fry in oil and grind to a paste :
- Oil 1tsp
- Coconut 3-4 tbs shredded
- Small Onions 15 nos
- Green chilly 4 – 5 nos ( to your taste )
- Garlic 6 pearls
- Cinnamon 1 ” 2 nos
- Ginger 1/2 inch
- Cloves 2 – 3 pieces
- Poppy seeds 1/2 tsp
- Coriander seeds 1 tbs
- Fennel /somf ¼ tsp
- Cashew 4-5 nos
To Season :
- Oil 2 tbs [coconut oil recommended]
- Onion 2 tbs [ chopped ]
- Cinnamon 1″ 1 no’
- Curry leaves 7 -8 nos
Method :
- Wash and drain chicken.
- In a heavy bottomed vessel or pan add oil slide cinnamon when it splutters add onions allow it to brown .
- Add chicken and give it a toss .
- Now add the ground masala , water [1 – 2cup ] and salt .
- Close it with a lid and cook till the meat is tender and the raw smell leaves.
- When you switch off add coriander leaves.
- Goes well with chappathi / ghee rice /dosai
