A very versatile & healthy dish enriched with protein & fibre.A mild spiced gravy which is loved by one and all.
Ingredients :-
- Sprouted Green gram 1 cup
- Mixed Vegetables 1 – ½ cup (carrot ,peas,beans,potatoe )
- Salt to taste
- Turmeric ½ tsp
- Chilly powder ½ – 3/4 tsp ( to taste )
- Coriander powder ½ tsp
- Coriander leaves 2 tbsp ( chopped )
To season :-
- Mustard ½ tsp
- Urad dhal ½ tsp
- Big onion 1 chopped
- Tomato 1 chopped
- Curry leaves a few
- Red chilly 1
- Oil 1 tsp
- To grind to a coarse paste :-
- Grated Coconut 2-3 tbsp
- Fennel ½ tsp
- Garlic 2-3 pearls
- Puffed Bengal gram 1tbsp
Method :-
- In a cooker or heavy bottomed vessel heat oil .
- Add mustard ,urad dhal ,let it splutter.
- Add onions ,curry leaves ,red chilly,wait for onions to change colour.
- Now add tomatoes ,allow it to get mushy.
- Add sprouted dhal ,veggies,powders ,salt and cook approx. 10 min.
- Now add the ground paste ,let it cook till raw smell leaves.
- Garnish with coriander leaves.
Note :-
- This gravy tastes good with rice ,chappati,puri,iddli,dosa.
