Stands out in a spread always !!

One of the scrumptious Dishes which steals the hearts easily . This is very special and usually a dish for the kids lunch box ,which they really enjoy .Also its loaded with protein and taste as well.

Ingredients :

  • Cooked channa 150 gms
  • Cinnamon 1”
  • Oil 1 ½ tbsp
  • Salt to taste
  • Coriander leaves to garnish
  • Fry in oil & grind :
  • Onions 2
  • Tomatoes 2
  • Ginger ¼ “
  • Garlic 2-3 pearls
  • Cinnamon 1”
  • Fennel ¼ tsp
  • Poppy seeds ¾ – 1 tsp
  • Chilly powder ¾ – 1 tsp
  • Turmeric powder ¼ tsp
  • Coriander powder 1 tsp

Method :

  • In a pan heat oil add onions , curry leaves ,toss it.
  • Add the whole species and toss.
  • Add turmeric and toss.
  • Add tomatoes , ginger and garlic ,give it a toss.
  • Then add coriander powder ,chilly powder and toss.
  • Grind it to a smooth paste .
  • In a vessel heat oil ,throw in cinnamon ,let it splutter.
  • Add the ground paste with water and cooked channa ,give it a mix.
  • Cook well till raw smell leaves and oil seperates.
  • Garnish with coriander leaves.
  • Serve hot with roti / puri.
