Stands out in a spread always !!
One of the scrumptious Dishes which steals the hearts easily . This is very special and usually a dish for the kids lunch box ,which they really enjoy .Also its loaded with protein and taste as well.
Ingredients :
- Cooked channa 150 gms
- Cinnamon 1”
- Oil 1 ½ tbsp
- Salt to taste
- Coriander leaves to garnish
- Fry in oil & grind :
- Onions 2
- Tomatoes 2
- Ginger ¼ “
- Garlic 2-3 pearls
- Cinnamon 1”
- Fennel ¼ tsp
- Poppy seeds ¾ – 1 tsp
- Chilly powder ¾ – 1 tsp
- Turmeric powder ¼ tsp
- Coriander powder 1 tsp
Method :
- In a pan heat oil add onions , curry leaves ,toss it.
- Add the whole species and toss.
- Add turmeric and toss.
- Add tomatoes , ginger and garlic ,give it a toss.
- Then add coriander powder ,chilly powder and toss.
- Grind it to a smooth paste .
- In a vessel heat oil ,throw in cinnamon ,let it splutter.
- Add the ground paste with water and cooked channa ,give it a mix.
- Cook well till raw smell leaves and oil seperates.
- Garnish with coriander leaves.
- Serve hot with roti / puri.
