Mushroom Gravy is all time favourite !!
Mushroom is simply one of the tastiest of foods. This gravy is very easy to make .
The spices with ground coconut paste simply elevates the Mushroom flavour.
Ingredients :
- Mushrooms 200 gms
- Onion 1 ( chopped )
- Tomato 1( chopped )
- Coriander powder ¾ tsp
- Red chilly powder ½ tsp
- Curry leaves a few
- Fennel ½ tsp
- Turmeric ¼ tsp
- Cinnamon 1’
- Oil 1 tbsp
- Salt to taste
Grind to a paste :
- Coconut 2-3 tbsp ( grated )
- Garlic 1 pearl
- Ginger ½ ‘ (optional )
- Cashew 3-4
Method :
- In a pan heat oil ,throw in fennel ,cinnamon , curry leaves, let it splutter.
- Add onions and let it change colour.
- Add tomato and let it get mushy.
- Add turmeric and salt ,toss well.
- Add the chopped mushrooms and toss.
- Add red chilly powder , coriander powder and toss.
- Add water ,mix it ,close and cook .( 5-7 min approx.)
- Now add the ground paste with some water ,close and cook ,open and for a bit cook till raw smell leaves.
- Garnish with coriander leaves.
- Serve hot with roti/ dosa/ rice.
