luscious Chutney !!! Must Try !!!

A very versatile chutney with goodness of carrot and a healthy option. Can never fail to amuse the taste buds and always a second helping is a must.

Ingredients :

  • Grind to fine paste :
  • Carrot 150 gms (chopped)
  • Onion 1 (chopped)
  • Tomatoes 2-3 (chopped)
  • Green chilly 4-5
  • Cumin ¾ tsp
  • Coriander powder 1 tsp
  • Coriander leaves 1 or 2 springs
  • Puffed gram dhal 1 tbsp
  • Coconut 1-2 tbsp (grated)
  • Salt to taste
  • Tamarind ½ to 1’’
  • Turmeric ¼ tsp
  • To season :
  • Oil 1 tbsp
  • Curry leaves a few
  • Mustard ¼ tsp
  • Urad dhal ¼ tsp
  • Red chilly 1

Method :

  • In a pan heat oil add mustard,as it splutters add urad dahl, curry leaves and red chilly, let it change colour.
  • Add the ground paste and give it a good mix.
  • Now close and cook till it thickens and raw smell fades.
  • Serve hot with dosa,idly.
