This is the staple diet in most of the households. What makes it unique is the small frying of chilly, but makes a huge difference in the taste.The flavor is more intense.
Ingredients :
- Coconut I cup [grated ]
- Green chilly 3
- Coriander leaves 3 tbsp [chopped ]
- Curry leaves a few
- Puffed gram dhal 1 -2 t bsp
- Tamarind ½ “ piece
- Mustard 1/4 tsp
- Urad dhal ¼ tsp
- Red chilly I [broken ]
- Salt to taste
- Oil 1 tsp
Method:
- In a small pan heat oil fry chilly ,coriander leaves and curry leaves.
- Now add to the coconut ,puffed gram dhal ,salt and tamarind.
- Grind to a coarse paste.
- Tamper it with mustard ,urad dhal red chilly and curry leaves.
- Served with all south indian food.
