A healthy ,tasty fish pie !!!

A drooling pie which makes one go crazy .

The potatoes with the fish makes a deadly combination. The sprinkling of cheese and bread crumbs makes the pie rich .As it is baked with potato ,cheese and bread crumbs,it forms a crispy layer and melts into the mouth with the fish.

Ingredients :

  • Tuna can 2
  • Onion 1 ( chopped )
  • Garlic 5-6 pearls ( chopped )
  • Green chilly 1( chopped )
  • Potatoes 5-6 ( boiled )
  • Milk 2-3 tbsp
  • Cheese 2-3 tbsp ( grated )
  • Bread crumbs 2 tbsp
  • Butter 1 tbsp
  • Milk 2-3 tbsp
  • Oil 1 tsp

Method :

  • Mash the potatoes well.
  • Add salt , butter and milk and make a creamy paste ,set aside.
  • Open the fish cans and drain the liquid.
  • If need be shred the fish.
  • In a pan heat oil add garlic ,onions and green chilly ,fry well .
  • Add the fish and toss well ,till the fish is well heated.
  • Grind in pepper and give a quick mix.
  • Transfer to a pie dish , press well.
  • Coat the potato paste evenly on top of the fish.
  • Sprinkle cheese and bread crumbs generously.
  • Bake in a pre – heated oven till the surface is slightly brown.
  • Serve hot with ketchup ,bread .

Note :

  • To the fish add spices to your taste if preferred.
