A healthy ,tasty fish pie !!!
A drooling pie which makes one go crazy .
The potatoes with the fish makes a deadly combination. The sprinkling of cheese and bread crumbs makes the pie rich .As it is baked with potato ,cheese and bread crumbs,it forms a crispy layer and melts into the mouth with the fish.
Ingredients :
- Tuna can 2
- Onion 1 ( chopped )
- Garlic 5-6 pearls ( chopped )
- Green chilly 1( chopped )
- Potatoes 5-6 ( boiled )
- Milk 2-3 tbsp
- Cheese 2-3 tbsp ( grated )
- Bread crumbs 2 tbsp
- Butter 1 tbsp
- Milk 2-3 tbsp
- Oil 1 tsp
Method :
- Mash the potatoes well.
- Add salt , butter and milk and make a creamy paste ,set aside.
- Open the fish cans and drain the liquid.
- If need be shred the fish.
- In a pan heat oil add garlic ,onions and green chilly ,fry well .
- Add the fish and toss well ,till the fish is well heated.
- Grind in pepper and give a quick mix.
- Transfer to a pie dish , press well.
- Coat the potato paste evenly on top of the fish.
- Sprinkle cheese and bread crumbs generously.
- Bake in a pre – heated oven till the surface is slightly brown.
- Serve hot with ketchup ,bread .
Note :
- To the fish add spices to your taste if preferred.
